Disposition Of Last Remains
After your passing, often your families are left in distress and without direction. A Disposition of Last Remains is a document which will provide them guidance as to what you want done with your last remains/body. In addition, a Disposition of Last Remains can direct memorial and funeral services and again who is to be in charge of those activities. This document relieves a great deal of stress and prevents family fighting and confusion during their time of distress. It is a gift you provide your loved ones to insure the maintenance of their relationship amongst each other upon your passing. C.R.S. section 15-19-101 through -108 authorizes a person to provide advanced written instructions regarding the Disposition of Last Remains. At Disposition of Last Remains is therefore binding upon all parties and gives you the ability to direct who you want to handle your burial, cremation, entombment, funeral arrangements and memorial service.
